Project Overview

Located in Charlotte’s upscale South Park neighborhood, the Barclay at SouthPark Continuing Care Retirement Community east and west towers project was originally envisioned as a traditional brick-and-block design but was converted to architectural precast cladding.

The east and west towers feature 308 residential units, along with 40,000 SF of common space, including multi-purpose rooms, dining areas, terraces, a bistro, fitness areas, and a spa. The development also includes a new medical office building,113,000 SF of retail, a three-story parking deck, and apartment-style units that consist of one- and two-bedroom units. Metromont’s Greenville manufacturing facility produced approximately 153,355 SF of architectural precast cladding for the east and west towers, a total of 405 pieces of precast on the east tower, and 317 pieces on the west tower. The exterior façade features both light and moderate sandblast finish.
