Project Overview

Tides on Charleston Harbor is a three-building, luxury condominium development located at the base of the Arthur Ravenel Bridge in Mount Pleasant, SC.

This multi-family complex overlooks the Charleston Harbor and was designed to blend with the contemporary style of the adjacent bridge while also adhering to Charleston’s architectural traditions.

For this coastal, multifamily complex, the design team wanted an exterior capable of withstanding both wind and moisture challenges common to South Carolina’s lowcountry. With fewer joints and 6” of minimum 5,000 psi, architectural precast cladding offered both strength and durability with a luxury, high-end look.

"Metromont’s team embraced our idea and got their whole team on board. It’s one thing for sales managers to want to make architects happy, but to have the plant manager, the finishing crew foreman and engineers fully engaged is something else. Metromont was extremely cooperative – the project was a win-win for everyone.”
